Excited!!!

So, for the last two months Travis and I have done nothing but pay bills leaving not too much play money for us to have fun with. (truth be told; we've been complete hermits!) But that all changes w/ our next paychecks! Wahoo!!! We get paid on Wed (me on Friday) and have made our plans w/ it!!! Hibachi on Wednesday, mall shopping on Friday (well, Trav doesn't know about that one yet-LOL) Yankee Candle Factory on Saturday, movies on Sunday--an entire weekend date! Can't wait....well, I can't wait not to live paycheck to paycheck. I'm not sure if we'll ever get to that point; but we can hope...

$1 wooden picture frames, glass beads, mosiac glue, wood paint, and patience!!!

Snow Days...Nights.....

The meteorologists said we'd get over 20 inches today....It's 8:30, still snowing, and we only have about 4! Nonetheless, it's beautiful....










Wow--Molly's eyes look evil in this picture! she really does love the snow...

I love this picture w/ the snow on her nose! She's sitting so nice because I'm holding a treat in my hand by the camera!

Christmas Decor

It dawned on me that I never posted pics of our house decorated for Xmas...Here's some pics that I had managed to take while the decorations were still up. (Usually I take them down after New Years but I was off of work this week and feeling really ambitious and motivated)



I made this x-mas tree. I took three wire hangers and formed them into triangles, taped them together, and wrapped lights around it...I was very proud of myself for being so creative and crafty--a trait that is usually not indicative of me! I'm a little sad though, the pictures really don't do it any justice--it really looked nice...

Another lil project of mine. I had bought a 60 pack of ornaments from Home Depot for $7 on sale...I didn't know what to do w/ them so I made this tree w/ some of the ornaments...

A new edition to our mantle this year; a dog stocking!

Molly's New Bed!!

Thanks to the quilting and sewing skills of my sister, Molly got a new bed for Christmas!!! Notice the letters--even those were cut out and stitched!!
